Need some binocular help here guys!

Postby 98ramtough » Sun Oct 09, 2005 7:57 pm

I got a new pair of binos today, I got the Nikon Monarch ATB 10x42. Great glass for the price. As usual I did not like the covers/lens caps. Does anyone make something like the butler creek scope caps for binocular? I would love some handy way to rig something up to keep the glass free from dust but easy to remove and impossible to lose. Let me know what you guys know!

98,

I know this sounds stupid... but I think yer on to something right there.

The lenses (atleast the front ones) are in standard sizes, like 40mm, or 50mm, etc...

Might be something to look into

The latest outdoor life showed the making of a homemade scope cover from a bicycle inner-tube. Maybe that will work?
Somehow I think Stouff'll beat you to it.

98, i can't remember who makes it but i have seen a slip on version of what i think your talking about. it had hard plastic caps the would open on the push of a button and snap back closed when desired. they had a yellow tint link shooting glasses to them. let me see if i can do some research on that.
