Duck Blinds

Postby mosoduckhunter » Sat Oct 15, 2005 4:13 pm

I am getting ready to invest in my first layout blind. I was wanting some opinions on what is the best blind out there. I was also wondering if it was worth investing in a blind if the other guys that I hunt with cannot afford them right now.

i picked the avery finnisher because that is the only one i have used. works well but i think there are better ones out there but are more expensive. my main gripe about the finnisher and most layout blinds is that it is tough to turn around and shoot. plus for a big guy like me (6'2 295 pounds it is hard to get in and out of. great for sleeping in though.

If you have the money now...and you do not need anything else, I say get it. Who knows, maybe when they can afford it, you wont be able to. Besides, if you get one now...I bet the first bit of rain you stay dry(er) in will sell them on a blind.

my $.02 .........from a guy without a layout blind.

You forgot the the most durable one out there, the FA Proguide Eliminator. Not as compact as the others, but built much sturdier IMO.
