Take a back up shotgun

How did we get by when all we had was one shotgun?

Spend a lot of money on a shotgun, just to drag along the old one.

I had a shotgun, and as much experience as I've had around guns, I didn't lubricate it properly, and I had problems. Since I fixed my problem, the gun hasn't had one hiccup, yet I still take the old pump just out of fear. But when I shoot the auto, and see the birds fall when the pump I would have shot twice before hitting one, the auto comes.

Well when I had only one shotgun it was a winchester 1300XTR. Of course we shot lead at ducks and geese then and with a three inch chamber and winchokes it did pretty well...Until I popped an extractor on the trap range...saved my money and bought me an 11-87 the second year they were on the market. Its still a fine shooting gun and never had any problems in the blind or on the range...then I got a hankerin for a over and under. I liked being able to save my empties on the sporting clays range...now I use the over and under for ducks too...
