New Escort Avery Waterfowl Extreme

Postby dexterherndon » Tue May 31, 2011 9:47 am

Does any one have a review on this new shotgun from Escourt? I know its a cheaper, little name shotgun but with me being left handed and wanting the 3 1/2 as an option I think this gun would be great. The price on the website is a little high but I have a store close to home that I beleive could get it at a lot lower of price.

Looks exactly like the Beretta Extrema II, I would assume that if avery put their name on it that it would be decent, I havent heard anythign abd about escort in the past the same company makes Howa rifles, they are one of the most underrated rifles in the game from my understanding. For the price I would have taken the flyer on it but I just bought a Stoeger m3500. I will keep my eye open for those in the future.

Cool stuff. A new left hand autoloader. Hopefully it'll be a hit and put pressure on other gun makers.

could be neat. Being a left handed shooter, its interesting. I bought the left handed SBE II and couldnt be happier, but its nice to see other people starting to acknowledge us lefties. If you get one, let us know how it does.

Just left my local gun shop and got a price on this gun. He quoted me 580 plus tax for the right handed 3.5 camo, unfortunately he could not find the left handed to give me quote for that one he thinks it will be about 50$ more. What yall think?

Hi All,

I`ve had an Escort for 7-8 years and have had several problems eg parts breaking. Also a friend of mine had similar problems. The Escort is manufactured in Turkey not in japan as Howa only manufacture rifles eg weatherby vangaurds and there own 1500 model.
I would not by another escort as there is nothing worse than been without a shotgun during season.

I also saw an escort semi broke last year. The action bar is broken in 2 and the action jammed closed.

I have spoke with Chad from Fowl life and he has nothing but good things to say about this gun. Its great that someone with a hunting show is not to busy or to high up to talk to their fans. Yall should watch his show its awsome. Goin to call his contact and get some more info on this gun tomarrow. I will keep yall posted.

Have you see the Fowl Life? That guy will say anything for the pennies they throw him.

And Brad Cheldung loves to hunt baited ponds, and feedlots. How hard is it to kill a duck that you have to hunt bait to kill them, loser. Hunt like real men and go back to Utah or where the hell you sister loving duck gangsters are from.

I have the escort extreme in 12 ga synthetic 3". It is an excellent shotgun. I like it better than my Benelli a400 unico with the kick off system which cost 3 X as much.
It is just as accurate, has less recoil, and does not have any feeding problems with 1 oz target loads.
