Gas Piston

Could anyone post up a pic of where the gas piston in a gun is? Im pretty sure i know where it is just not sure what it is. if that makes any sense. Sorry for the stuiped question.

On gas operated autoloaders it is under the fore arm of the gun. It sleeves over the magazine tube in front of the barrel gas vents.

Go to Remington's website and download the 1100/1187 owner's manual. That should help you.

The encircled area is the gas piston.
