I think MSRP has always been around $1400 depending on the options you take, like comfortec or non-comfortec, right to left, camo or black. Here is their site if you click on Specifications on the left side it will show the MSRP for the different guns.

http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/sbe2.tpl

You can probably get a used one for around 1200-1300 if you look around.

I bet if you take $1000 cash, into the dealer and offer them the cash, most likely they'll take it. If they don't start to walk out and see what they do. This is for the synthetic model. This applies for smaller dealers who have what you want in stock. I've never been able to deal with the larger outfitters, Bass Pro, Cabelas. I have heard ****'s is willing to talk. Do a little wheel'n and deal'n. I think you can do better than MSRP. If they're not willing to work with you leave and try another place. Most of all be patient. Don't let them tell you they can't come down and don't rush into anything.

You can try either gunbroker.com
auctionarms.com
gunsamerica.com

Watch the auctions for a while and see what they are going for. You might just end up finding you a deal.

Just my $.02.

Rule #1, Unless your accustomed to paying sticker price for a new car do not pay sticker price for a new shotgun. Research your purchase and make a good one. But I gotta tell ya for 1200-1400 dollars I could buy a nice over and under for that. I could buy 2 11-87's in case one broke!!!!!
I am figuring that SBEII is a little over marketed right now!

1000 bucks isn't a bad deal, not that great either. I doubt benelli would dip it for ya. Take it to Gander Mountain or someplace else. They can dip one for about 150 bucks.

If you spend 1000.00 on an SBEII today 10 years from now its worth...ah 1/4 of that price.. so dump it into an IRA and then later in life you can afford a real shotgun!!!!

$1,000 invested for 10 years with an internal rate of return of 6% (very reasonable) would yeild a return of $14,486.56. Extend that to your retirement age..... if you deposit that 1000 now and not touch it until you retire it will be worth $290,335.90

Invest wisely young grasshopper
