CZ USA

I am thinking of getting a CZ ringneck side by side in 16 ga. has anyone had any experience with CZ products? They are the only one that I can find that still makes a side by side in the 16.

I don't have the sxs but I have a pair of redheads 12 and 20. I haven't put the rounds through them like some of my other o/u's but with what I have put through them and the fit, feel and tightness of them, I have no regrets.

I have the ringneck in 410, only 75 rounds but it handles great and so far no issues.

I've had a Ringneck 12ga SxS for about three years now. It appears to be well put together and shoots just fine. The one downside, in my opinion, is that the trigger pull is quite heavy. Mine are almost 8 lbs. Quite a difference going to this after shooting my Brownings. All in all, I'm satisfied to use it for hunting purposes. You might check Huglu. My partner had a 16ga Huglu SxS some years back and it shot great. Trigger pull on it was about 4.5 lbs.

I purchased a CZ Canvasback - O/U - a few months ago and have put several hundred rounds through it on Sporting Clays, Trap, and 5-stand. It has performed flawlessly...

I had a bobwhite and functionally I liked it. It felt good and patterned good but the bulged muzzles worked on my nerves everytime I looked at it. If I'm not mistaken the 16 doesn't have choke tubes so that wouldn't be an issue.

I have a bobwhite in 20ga. Me likey.

Huglu and CZs are the same guns in o/u and sxs. Firing pin length is known to be an occasional problem.

In general, the most stable and trouble free trigger configuration for a SxS is a double trigger setup.

Research Shotgun world forums, but I believe the single trigger configuration huglus experiences more problems than the double trigger. It's be a while since I did the research myself so improvements may have been made.

You mileage may vary.

Anyone have issues with the cz guns after they get dirty? Real stiff breaking them open.

My SxS has been stiff since new and still is. Haven't noticed it being any more difficult to break open after 200 rounds, then it is after 2 rounds.
