A400 in Sitka Optifade

Postby EvanKCMO » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:15 am

Picked it up on Saturday, only had time to run 8 shells through it that evening behind the house but from what I can tell it handles like a dream and looks even better. Well worth the wait and the money, is it duck season yet?

Had my A-400 Xtreme 1 year.
Best shotgun I've ever had, or even shot, and I've shot a few over the last 53 years.

You are not the only person to tell me this. That is what convinced me to spend the extra 600-700 on this over the other models I was looking at. I am quite pleased with my choice and imagine I will be for years to come

Prior to the A-400 Xtreme, I had a 40+ year love affair with a model 50 Winchester auto in a mod 28" barrel.
I still would not call her a faded beauty.

x4..I think.... I love mine and it.patterns so well with IC to 40 yd. Wait till you run a box of 3 1/2s out of it... you will just giggle like a school girl... I shot a box in a t-shirt a month ago and it didn't leave a mark... and felt like 3".

Shot her for the first time last night. Did two rounds of trap for the first week of my local place's summer league. Started off with a few silly misses and a 19, and then dialed in and shot a 24 in round two. I could NOT be happier with this gun!

That is a really good looking gun....I really do like that camo pattern as well.
Is that a Sitka pattern? In other words, is it there own camo pattern?

Yes, it's Sitka's new pattern. No place close to me had any A400's in stock so I had to order it. I believe they come in Max 4 and this new Sitka Optifade. I figured I'd go with the new Sitka pattern. It has a very digital look to it, kind of like military camo. Very cool

Awesome new gun! I am a big fan of Sitka's new Optifade pattern and have not seen it on a gun yet. Very cool... and I want one now!!!
When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for the others.
It is the same when you are stupid.

It has the same Kickoff system, I shot 100 rounds last weekend doing sporting clays and felt great afterwards. But I think that's where the similarities end. My hunting partner has the Xtrema 2 and I can assure you they are quite different guns. The A400 just feels more streamlined in your hands and handles better in my opinion. Plus - it is an absolute breeze to dissasemble and clean.
