I have been offered a Benelli M1 in trade, and the guy has a value of about $675 on it. I have been hunting with just a good ole Mossberg 835, and it has never let me down. Not sold on the semi-auto world for hunting though, as I have not had trouble taking doubles and triples with my pump, so speed is a moot point for me. Weight is honestly the biggest deciding factor. Assuming semi's are harder to clean, that has a negative aspect for them to me.
It has the realtree timber camo pattern
Sure cycle system installed
Round count of under 700.
Overall the condition of it seems quite nice - I would guess around an 8+/10.
Comes with four standard chokes, and a Briley extended skeet ported choke.
Also includes Shims, choke tube wrench, and break down case also included.
No HK markings (if that affects value at all)
I know absolutely nothing about these shotguns, and have more than a couple questions about them.
Is this a good shotgun in general?
Is the value he has on it pretty reasonable?
Are they easy to clean (I hear the SBE2 being very easy to clean)?
Are there things to look out for with the M1?
Thanks in advance guys.
