Browning Maxus, 28in barrel

Pattern Master Code black or Carlson's MOD choke with Hevi-metal or Kent 3in loads #3 and 2 for ducks and BB for geese.

pretty simple. keeping the ole 870 on home guard duty.

Gun wise... Beretta A400 Xtreme or once in a while will break out the Xtrema2 as well.

Chokes are almost always Hevi Shot Chokes, they hold an AWESOME Pattern for me.

Shells.. 3" Hevi Metal BB's for just about everything out there, fowl relate.

Chomping at the bit to try out my new Browning Maxus! I plan on starting out with a Vortex modified choke shooting Black Cloud Snow Goose #2's. When those dry up, I've still got some regular BC #3's and some Xperts left over from last year.

Browning maxus with patternmaster code black duck, running 3" hevi metal #2's and #3's. Much different then my previous years shooting a single shot cooey with 2 3/4 super x number 4s ;) although I couldn't complain, I could still drop ducks with that single shot, sometimes old is good !

Mossberg 930 with 28 inch barrel. Early season I use an IC choke and switch to modify as the season progresses. Ammo is 3 inch 4s Kent brand or whatever is on sale. Early wood ducks we shoot 6 shot.

Don't know yet. Might try something completely different.

Like a Baikal. 20 gauge. Black. O/U. Shoot some 1/2oz loads of F shot at 1950fps. Terror choke.

...or not.

Possibly gold 10 # 3 federals early season. And bb late. Or maybe a m3500 or a mossberg 935 with the same size shot.

You have to understand, I have a ton of good shotguns (Ruger, Remington, Winchester, Browning, Beretta) but what I really need is a new bank peg.

Ill use the same trusty gun and choke Ive used since 1979, Its a Winchester Super X1, 28 inch mod choke, loaded with 23/4 #3s.

Why mess with something that's been a success since the days of a 3 duck limit or a 100 point limit.

Remington VersaMax Synthetic 28". Carlsons extended IM tube. 3.5" Kent Fasteel 1 3/8oz #1 shot. That combo will literally work for ANY waterfowling scenario. It may not be ideal for everything, but it'll work. When in the layout boat I'll shoot a Mod choke with 3" Kent 3's, and for late season geese I'll shoot BB's out of the IM or extended full, but that load of #1's is my day to day load.
