A300 beretta in duck weather?

Postby Normmcclean » Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:16 pm

I had to sell off my extrema 2 to pay some bills but I want to pick up a more budget friendly Beretta. I hunt mostly northern Missouri so on a regular winter I hunt temps in the teens and upper single digits. Just wondering if any dhc brothers have put this gun through its paces in colder and nasty conditions. I am in between buying a used al391 urika or a new A300. I really appreciate the help.

I know where an Extrema is for $700 plus shipping. PM if you're interested.

I bought the A300 in camo and have heard really good things from friends who own them. I know the 391 was pretty decent in bad weather. The only thing that I do not like about the gun is that it has a brass bead sight and I like the hiviz sights. The guns is not real easy to clean but shoots great. I am in central Missouri and will be looking forward to putting it through the paces. I bought my camo version for 699.00. I have run 300 shells for it and only one small issue with one shell of not cycling. The shell casing appears to bulged somehow and would not load into the tube.

I wanted the a400 extrema KO but thought I was "settling" for the A300 so I could get a new gun and a lease.I have run 2,000 shells through mine in 8 months, no jams...no problems just BOOM BOOM BOOM. I would highly recommend it an economic semi-auto.
