Good Price for SX3

Postby CutEmUp89 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 7:05 am

Hey fellas, got a really good deal on a Super X3 and I have been thinking about pulling the trigger and buying it. But I've heard some good things and bad things about this gun and was wanting peoples personal opinion. Thanks in advance for the info you might give me.

If it's a good buy - take it. I don't know which model you are after of SX3 , there are a few.
Regardless, which ever one it is take it ! Great gun.. for the money you wont get a better gas semi !

Go get it before it's gone !!!

i have had my camo SX3 3.5 inch for 4 years and a half and have ran about 4000 shells through it and have never had a jam. Shot 1 1/8 oz trap loads to 3.5 BBs for geese, never a hiccup. Easy to clean, points great, takes the cold below zero fahrenheit in Montana, low recoil, and fits me great. I love everything about it.

The only thing I didn't like was when I first got it the trigger pull was about 6-7 pounds a bit much, I was going to take it to a gunsmith, he told me to put 10 boxes through it, to get the machined parts to wear a little. I did and it is perfect now glad I never jumped the gun on the trigger. As I shot it, it has gotten down to a little under 5 pounds which is good and safe. It comes down to fit, this gun just fits me and points where I look. I killed some ducks this year jump shooting that after I shot and got them, I was like how the heck did I shoot through that brush. I could not have made that shot with my old gun I am sure. Love it, it makes me look good sometimes

I use mod factory choke and Fiocchi #3s on ducks and BBs on geese. I have patterned both of these and they pattern great. I traded a rifle for mine so I don't know about price, go to gunsamerica and gunbroker and you can probably get a black one for around $850.

I bought my wife an SX3 compact last year in a 12. Finally a full sized shotgun with a shorter stock! Even my short arms like it. The SX3 is a simpler Maxus. I prefer the Maxus because it has a shell cut off and the forend is slimmer. But the gas system is the same and the same action. Very soft fast shooting guns. They just work.

Brand new 3.5", whatever camo you want, 28" barrel, $925 to my door. Actually my dads door, our local FFL dealer.

$949.99 SX3(BLACK SHADOW) at Gander Mountain so yes $925 is a great price. The SX3 is a fine shotgun. To me the SX3 is more like the Browning Silver in looks and feel than the Maxus.

$925 camo in 3.5 is a great deal !!

I have a Silver and SX3 and have handled/compared the Maxus in stores, really tough for my shouldering to determine much difference. SX3 includes shims so if need be you can really tune it to your liking.....nice shotgun, go for it.
