Super Vinci vs Super Black eagle II

Postby bjno1300 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 6:57 pm

Hey guys. Would really like some feedback you guys have on these 2 vs each other. I've shouldered both and they both fit and point great. I am deciding between these 2 and a a400 extreme which also fits and points good but have to use the shim kit. Thanks for the help. Doves start next week :). And honestly recoil is not a concern because I don't hunt geese that often and only a few shots at turkeys. Thanks again

Is there any reason you are only considering these three guns for "doves" considering there are far more appropriate designs for that purpose? Aesthetically the SBE2 has a clear advantage in my opinion and I think most would agree the SBE2's design is a far more proven but if I were looking for a dedicated dove gun I might consider an 1100, 390, Affinity, 870, 500, M2. I typically use a Wingmaster or Super X Model 1 both chambered 2 3/4" for doves. Not to say that the guns listed won't get the job done, just that the designs seem to be geared more towards waterfowl hunting. It's also been my experience that 3.5" guns seem to have more issues with cycling lighter 2 3/4" loads typically used for doves. Just curious why you would want to spend more money and carry more weight to shoot doves? On the other hand if you're looking for an "all round" shotgun I understand completely your initial considerations.

Hey powder. Thanks for the reply. Sorry if my post was misleading. This is definitely first and foremost a duck gun I was just sayin that doves start next week so I'm now on the clock to order. I will probably get 2 dove hunts and then be getting patterned up for the ducks in November. It will see some clays in that time but after the doves I will start looking at some chokes and loads and shooting some paper. Thanks again.

The Super Vinci will cycle anything. So I assume the SBEII will too. Not sure on the A400. Not sure you can go wrong with any of those choices as I know people with all of them. All very reliable units. I know there are a lot of Benelli owners out there that are happy as clams with theirs.

Gotcha. 100% I apologize for the rambling. In light of that my vote would go to the SBE2 but I love my Versamax!

Neither go with the extreme a400 you won't regret it. It's a little bit pricey but we'll worth it

super vinchi is way better it looks like it came from star wars. its really light because its all made from plastic, and that is nice because i get tried when i carry a 9 pound gun around. my skinny chicken arms are to week to hold anything with any weight to it. all in all i like my plastic gun.

I love my Super Vinci!! IT's an awesome gun. I like the way it comes apart. Makes it easy to to clean and lube real quick if you're into that stuff. haha

My huntin buddy shoots a SBE2. When I came into the market for an auto it was between the SV and sbe2. I needed up going with the SV and couldn't be happier. What it came down to for me was the ease of disassembly. I'm sure either fun would serve you well.

I was talking to the local gun store owner last weekend and he said there has been a lot of issues with the SBE II recently. He has also been having issues getting them to stand behind warranty. This may be just his experience, but thought I would share.
