Had a friend as me "when you shoot at a duck or goose passing or going away is your bead go under the beak or on the beak?" This had me thinking for a second cause I don't recall it. If you aim right at the beak wouldn't the angle go over the animal compared to shooting under?

Going away, shoot its feet off. Coming towards you, shoot its head off.

The angle of an overhead-going away shot is like the bird is dropping. You want to shoot what looks like below or just under the bird so depending upon the distance it would be on the beak (close shots) to under the beak. For a going away passing shot you have the combination of drop and sideways lead.

Put the bead on the leading edge of the bird with the bird on top of the barrel and always follow through.
