My Gold 12 is my go-to duck gun, even though I have an Xtrema2 (primarily used for geese). Just make sure your Gold 12 is a 3" gun and not a 3.5".
Finding one in a store may be problematic unless it deals in used firearms.

I do have a Gold 12 3 1/2" 28" , I very seldom shoot 3 1/2" shells But , I do reload waterfowl loads . Saying that I wanted
a gun that would with-stand more pressure in my loads ( for safety reasons ) . For me , I don't need bigger ammo to kill
the birds I hunt , if I did I would shoot a Gold Lite 10 ga !

So , don't stop there your half-way to owning everything you'll need !

thanks guys I reload also but when I shoot 12ga most the time I only shoot 23/4 but it is nice to be able to shoot 3.5 if you really want to and in your guns do they run lite lead loads also I believe the x2 and the gold are the same action is that true if so whats the pros and cons of one vs the other and if the stock is the same its to short for me thanks guys

I wouldn't worry about the 3.5" Gold, unless it was a very early production model. Anything from the late 90s on will be just fine.

i personally dont shoot one one of my buddies i hunt with all the time shoots one. All guns will kill duck personally i like bennelli or franchi (same thing) and he shoots his browing it is a mule he dosent think twice before setting it in the snow or but in the watter gun never jammed or missfire when ive been with him.

What do you mean by "x2"? X(trema)2? Winchester SX2?
I do know that the SX3 (I have one) and the Browning Gold use the same action. The Beretta uses an entirely different action. I can't comment on the SX2, except to say I don't think it does, but I could easily be wrong.
