Getting my A400 to fit

Postby Cranberry1 » Mon Jan 06, 2014 12:47 am

Hello All,
I Recently purchased my A400, Love the gun but from reading and missing alot of targets, i dont think it fits that well! When is shoulder it, first i can see a good bit of the rail without lowering my head (Which im not supposed to do , right??) . I believe thats my biggest issue with missing. Also i believe that the 2" from thumb to nose is a bit more like 3" ... is that a big issue? So my question is , What shims do i need to try to change to make these adjustments? Thank you for responses

First of all is the A400 which shim is on the stock?
There is a 65mm, 60mm, 55mm & 50mm shims with A400 suppose be!
The higher the numbered shim you use the lower the gun shoots.
Hope this helps

Will Any of the shims help to level the rail out as far as me shouldering the gun and "pointing it" or just how it shoots

Put the 65 in there and it will drop the rail down. It's what I use and have had great results. Don't forget to change both the shims.

I'm starting to think maybe I just need to practice shouldering the gun and shooting a few rounds of trap or skeet before changing the shims . I think I may need to but I don't want to do any unnecessary things before shooting some more . Thanks guys !
