What do you guys think I need real hands on reviews. Both these guns have my eye. The A5 has a long history and it's inertia driven now. And the maxus just looks like a work horse. What do you guys think.

The A5 you are looking at has a history no longer than the Maxus'.

The only similarity that the new A5 shares with the venerable Auto-5 is the name: Browning, the letter A, and the number 5.
They...the A5 and the Maxus... are both good guns, you could flip a coin and you won't be disappointed.

Well put mud. I shouldered and monkeyed with both for about an hour, decided on the a5 because it felt more "right", it also felt like my eye was on point every time I pulled up. The maxus felt nice too, you won't be disappointed in either. Depends on whether you want inertia or gas.

While the inertia guns most definitely have their following, the supposed advantages of them versus a good quality gas gun are a mystery to me..
Easier to clean? Seriously?
I have one or more of each of the major gas guns and while I'm no mechanic, there's not 1 of them even the least bit difficult to clean or time consuming to do so/EASY!
Recoil-why in the world would I choose a platform with higher recoil???
Every one of my gas guns will literally fire anything I put through them-period.,,,
So. While I'm certain the A5 (or benelli) are "great" guns, the choice for me is literally a "no brainer"-and I do have a Maxus and its been absolutely flawless (it's my2nd favorite only to a versamax and a close 2nd at that).

I have had a Maxus for 3 years now and absolutely love it. My brother got the A5 this year, so I shot it quite a bit. I love the way the A5 throws up, and shoulders. It has a very slight increase in felt recoil. My brother had the Maxus before and likes the A5 better. I will stick with my Maxus. Point is as others have said, pick one that fits you best and you will be happy with either.
