Question for all sbe2 owners

Postby Fresnoduckhunter » Wed Feb 12, 2014 8:09 pm

I know to deep clean my gun right when I get it. Local sports stores are having deals on ammo right now and I won't have my gun for about 2 weeks. But want to buy ammo, what ammo is suggested to break it it?

Never broke mine in. I shot some 3inch Feds ( blue box) at some snow geese maybe half a box with a mix of 2 3/4 for the ducks on its first hunt.
if you can read this your almost as smart as a dolphin.

Fresno

Technically these guys did break in their guns. "Breaking in" a gun means to loosen the spring and wear a little metal down to allow your gun to shoot light loads. Out of the box, the SBEII will undoubtedly shoot any high brass shell, but may struggle with anything under 1 1/8 oz. I'd run some of your left over steel from this past season through it & you outta be good to go. Congrats no the new gun!

My SBE will shoot 7/8 oz no problem now, but it wouldn't right out of the box. I'm in love with benellis

As long as the shell goes boom it doesn't matter. Pick your favorite and run some through that bad boy
