Have you downloaded and printed out the templates from Limbsaver's website?

FWIW Independent testing shows Kck Eez absorbs recoil best.I have one on my 835 and it works great.I think some of the softer pads are a little to soft for a 12 gauge and better suited to smaller gauges/caliber rifles.

Not all of them, but definitely the one that said it should fit most Stoeger's. The screw holes appeared to be a bit off.

Those old "independent test" come from Kick Eez, and they don't say which pads the Kick Eez is being compared to; there are a lot of old-style pads (Pachmyer, Morgan, Winchester) that are terrible recoil absorbers.

I had Kick Eez pads on two of my trap guns. After three rounds of trap, my shoulder was sore enough to make further shooting very uncomfortable. After putting Limbsavers on the guns, I can now shoot 150 shots on the trap or sporting clays courses (same shells) and feel NO recoil pain.
My experience has been that Limbsaver absorbs FAR more recoil than does Kick Eez. Stick your thumb into both of those pads and you'll see why. That's my opinion.
