Montefeltro Forearm cap very tight

Postby uglymug » Wed Feb 26, 2014 9:29 am

So I just picked up a Benelli Montefeltro at Dicks for $849 and I couldn't pass on that deal it should make a good field/duck gun. Anyways the Forearm cap for this gun is VERY tight, as in I was tempted to take a plyers to it to get it screwed all the way in. Any tips from you guys as to a grease or lube I can put on there to loosen it up or should it loosen on its own with time?

I think that spring under the cap is just stiff. I would not go any more than hand tight. Shoot a round of clay's or 2. Monty is an awesome gun, Love my lefty. Enjoy

Some auto's are like that ,with my Beretta's and Golds if you stand the gun up on its recoil-pad , with one hand on the
fore-arm pulling down hard , the cap will become looser......hope the helps a Boonelli guy ? :lol3:

Leave the pliers where you found them , they can only cause you grief ! :hammer:
