Price check please

Postby Wallew » Thu Mar 06, 2014 12:57 pm

I just came across a Benelli super 90. Very clean for its age. It has a pretty new camo dip on it. The dip job looks like it is done well.
The dip looks better than some new guns.

Price is $850. Is this a good deal?

Quick responses appreciated.

Its about $225 to get one dipped. However, the seller normally is not able to retrieve his investment for a dip job. I bought my HkSBE for $700 shipped. The M1s normally do not bring that much. My last M1 I got used, I have $400 in it. Its up to you if you want to spend the extra for the dip job. 600 is about right for the gun. Just my opinion about keeping track of prices on these older M1s. The M1s are great guns, I have two of em.

If you find a Super Black eagle for 675 dollard it is most likely beat all to hell. A clean camo SBE will sell for 800 to 900 all day long. A mint one will go for 1000 dollars. A clean camo SBE2 will fetch around 1200 a mint one 1300 plus. A clean super 90 should go for around 650 to 700. 850 with a camo dip it about top dollar. Mabee even a little over what it is worth. It would have to be a real nice job. I think I would offer 750 and go as high as 800. I have bought and sold a lot of Benelli shotguns. If it were me I would look for a nice SBE.

I paid $560 for the last hk SBE I bought off gunbroker. The one before that was in almost new condition and included a sure cycle return spring, and I only paid $800 for it. The last M1 I bought cost me $550. I bought a NIB camo M2 with comfortec stock for $1075 and paid $1150 for a very gently used camo SBEII with comfortec stock. I'd say you could find one for under $700, if you're willing to look around.

There's an M1 on gunbroker right now with a starting bid of $595 that nobody's bid on.

If the gun got a good dip and is in very good condition, I would say 650-700 is a fair price.

Thank you for the pricing help. I've been looking and can't seem to come across to many good used deals in my area.

I went into dicks the other day and they are having a sale this week in nj. I can get a Montefeltro wood/blued on sale for $900 till tomorrow. I think I might just get it.
