I spent all of last year wearing Optifade exclusively. Hunting spots included pea, barley, corn, rice, and wheat fields. There were also flooded timber, sand bars, and pond banks. I never encountered a situation where it appears I was compromised as it related to camouflage and concealment. The only thing I'd change is on future flooded timber hunts, I'll go back to Natural Gear.

Matters where you hunt, but for me Max-4 works great in marsh, corn fields and around timber. I thinks it' the best all-around waterfowl camo on the market.

I've been partial to Max-4 for several years. Been very versatile. Use it in flooded timber and marshes. Be sure to keep your face covered which I think probably gives more hunters away than the camo.

I have used MAX-4 for the last few years. I haven't had any problems that I could attibuted to the color choice of the camo I wore. I don't like the fact that MAX-4 seams to be lighter or darker depending on where you buy it. I'm not sure if Optifade would be the same in that respect.

I think nearly all camo too dark, but Optifade may be one of the best in that respect.
Perhaps if you're hunting in a pile of sagebrush blind (it happens), most the camo coats one sees in the stores would be a good match, but in nearly all other circumstances they are too dark for your average waterfowl hunting.....I've encountered in the west anyway.

I asked the same question about a month ago as I was looking for a new super Vinci. I saw the optifade online but couldn't decide, it looked kinda generic to me but it must be popular. Still haven't seen one in person. Found a SV on here last week in max 5 and love it.
