Whatcha know about Parker side by side's? any of you seen one or own one? Guy at my work has a .410 and a 12 Guage Mint condition. Wants 45,000 for the .410 and 55,000 for the 12. Awesome looking guns!

Find out who made them, there was Parker Reproductions who were in business in the 1980's. Those guns were made in Japan by Olin's plant, very nice but not worth that kind of money. Then there were Parker Hale guns which were European made then there are the Glazan Connecticut Shotgun made guns, those could be worth that kind of money. Some of the custom made Parkers that are being made now are in that price range and more.
It's very hard to tell unless you know who made them, for that kind of money you might want paperwork showing everything about the guns.

Id say if it were me Id have them appraised by a certified appraiser

Also all the Parker Reproduction guns Ive looked at had Parker Reproduction stamped on them

Heres a Parker site that's good http://www.parker-shotguns.com/

BTW I didn't know Parker ever made a O/U, I always thought that it was Parker - Hale that made O/Us

My copy of Blue Book of Gun Values, 24th Edition, only lists S X S, no O/U!!!!!!! Same for Parker Reproduction .

His "'Parker" Ain't what he says they are, in MHO
"I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess. " Red Green.

I tried it, it, it did not work!

After doing a little bit of searching the only Parker O/Us I could find were Parker Hales and they were made by Winchester

BT Thanks for posting the website for Parker for some reason, it didn't ever show up on my search.

I stand corrected . it appears there are O/Us other than the Parker Hale.

He has had them appraised and they are the real deal. lol sad part is he got them for free from a guy who had no idea what they were worth. The man had them sitting around and need to clear gun safe space and gave them to him

Okee Dokee I see where this is going.
First off if they are real deal Parkers then they were SxS not O/U's and they are old.
Secondly those new Parker O/U's start out $10,000 and go up from there, so this guy had no idea of that either....right?
Thirdly your buddy, if this story is true, is a scumbucket for ripping the guy off, if he knew anything about Parkers he knew they where worth something and he should have given the guy who owned the guns something for them...again if this is a true story.

I wouldn't touch them, people who own the very high grade Parkers usually know what they have, they are worth the kind of money he asked especially the .410 ga if it's like a high grade model like a GH or DH.
Where he exactly got them is the question, very hot merchandise comes to mind.

Sorry, but Im seeing a hoax here. I cant see a guy that's making room in his safe not knowing that he's giving away a 100,000 dollars worth of guns especially since he had them appraised
