Well I am thinking those shells are WAY out of my price range. For one box of shells I could almost put a down payment on a new truck...I may not kill any more ducks and geese but I sure will get there in comfort :laughing:

I don't see anything special about this ammo. It is just another
way over priced Hevi-shot ammo company with high prices.

There is nothing special about 1330 fps for a D&G load.

However if these shells were loaded with:" TUNGSTUN SUPER SHOT" ;
# 5's............... Now you have something ! :thumbsup: :hammering: :hammering:

Wake me up when somebody buys a box will you ? :laughing: :laughing:

I guess I should have been more specific. 3oz 10ga loads and 2 5/8oz 12ga loads are not something you find everyday. Either there have been some changes in loading components or these loads are way overpressured cause their aint nothing even remotely close in handloading let alone factory loads. Yes they are expensive but it shows that there are improvements being made.

Tengoose I got your drift...but all in all I can still kill ducks and geese at distances I used to with lead, using plain old steel. I forgot how fast that 10ga load was but it seemed it may be a dog load anyway...but that load has got to kick somewhat like my aunt bessies mule!!!!

Well it shows these guys know what the true potential of the ten gauge is.
But could you imagine what the shot string would be out of these loads? What is the point of stretching these shells past there prime. Its like loading a 20 in a 3", a 28 with 1oz, or stretching the 12 to 3 1/2" it just takes the shells past the point of there optimum performance.

I have a load for the ballistic products BPD pattern driver in the 3 oz load some where. I'll try to find it and PM you with it. I haven't loaded them past 2 1/2 oz myself.

Ahhh words of wisdon :thumbsup: :salude: I suppose someone could make a 4" 20ga round that can own up to ten gauge performance also...ya maybe.....But the bottom line is this if I am shooting steel and I need pattern and I need big shot...I go with a ten gauge and no matter what you throw down the throat of a shotgun it still has its limits no matter what!!!! unless someone can figure out how to get 300 winchester magnum performance out of a shotgun...let the silly boys spend the money to try and hit long range birds...me I got a nice slough or two and a field or two and I will put them in range...its much easier that way...got a few good duck and goose calls too....and I can almost call em

At that price, every one of the pellets in those sap-suckers better be laser-guided and gold-plated!!! :eek:

:withstupid: And by the way I had not ever better not miss, cause in my day 20 dollars for 10 rounds of ammo better put something bigger than a duck in the bag. At that price I would go for a 600 nitro and an elephant that way I would have plenty of meat to share with the rest of the tribe!!!!!!! :laughing: :laughing:

not in the pattern driver, they use a gas seal and mylar/teflon wraps to get 3 full ounces in the 10 shell. u could put a bpd and 3oz in a shell if ya wanted to, but u would have to leave out the powder.........hmmm

unless u had a really low basewad shell..... is there one in 10ga? maybe u could pull the paper basewad outta the federal???? thats somethin to look into.
