Fiocchi Speed Steel

Postby BBK » Mon Oct 21, 2013 7:35 pm

Some were wondering, so here it is.
3.5" 1 3/8 #1 speed steel
610.1 gr of shot (1 3/8 is 601.6 I believe)
Very uniformly sized, some rough spots on some, all are round.
Looks to be zinc plated and graphited
135 #1 pellets, 1 #4 pellet (should be 142 for 1 3/8 #1)
Hull looks to be pretty good quality, crimp is very dished- similar to kent's 3.5" 1 3/8 shells.

So overall it looks to be a quality shell. The shot is good, the uniformity is good, and the shot appears to be heavier than standard steel (weighs more than 1 3/8 but has fewer pellets than a 1 3/8 should).

Cant wait to put these on paper, and some ducks!
