What chokes are you hevi metal users running, and what kind of patterns are u seeing out to 40 yrds or so? Just bought the Hevi shot chokes MR. and ER for my Super Vinci but have not patterned them yet-Thanks!

Carlson's Super Steel chokes. Like they were made for benelli shotguns and non-tox shot.

Kicks High Flyer mod works great out of my SX2 with Hevi-Metal as well as other brands of shot.
Last night, I dreamed that I killed all the saggers, all the swaggers, and all of their duckface girlfriends...

It was called: The Yolocaust.

I have that same load and choke combo for my 3" Vinci and I think out of mine the MR with #2's works real well.. Let us know when you shoot and how it works out..

I have shot HeviMetal 3's and 2's ($19/box) using a PM Shortrange choke (30-40yds). The pattern is fantastic and the kill percentage is amazing. That combo even works amazingly well on Specks at 40-50 yards. I have the LR and extra LR chokes for 3 1/2s but so far the birds have been mostly in range. I shoot a Benelli SBEII. Hope this helps
Cheers

Hevi shot mid range choke. Get patterns that are dense, with no duck sized holes at 40 yards. Perfect choke for what I need.

I think the HS extreme choke would be perfect for late season and when birds just won't work.

Hevi Metal 2s through a Pure Gold waterfowl IC in a new 28" A5 patterns very well. Absolutely stones ducks out to ~35 yards. Haven't had to shoot at any beyond that yet this year. If you're worried about looks, it may not be for you. This thing is long.

I have to say that is the ugliest choke I have ever seen... but if it works that is all that matters! :lol3:

If your choke is this long you might as well go to a twist type multi choke where you can dial in any choke you want. I have one for my BEII but don't like the big thing on the end of the barrel even though years ago I always shot with one. I would bet one of these patterns as good as all the hoopla chokes out there that claim to be better than anything else, which is mostly bull.

I have a poly choke on one of my shotguns and the patterns are adequate but not as good as a choke tube. I have over 62 choke tubes and patterned over 2000 steel reloads and the choke tubes give the better patterns especially the extended non ported chokes. Ned S

Depends upon the gun in 3 of them I have the Hevi Shot MR Choke and it flat throws a wicked pattern. My newer A400 Beretta I have a Sumtoy Customs ATC Choke and its awesome. As soon as the hevi shot chokes are out for the A400 I'll be all over em however!
