12g 2 3/4" Hevishot load

Postby roughshooter1 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 7:32 am

I am looking for some 12g 2 3/4" hevishot recipes using multimetal, HW520, VP60/65/70 or perhaps B&P steel wads.
I have lots of data for the precision reloading/sam1 and TPS but none for any wads that I have! Looking to load some 32g 5's if anyone can help
Regards

I would sub the MM for the TPS. In all the steel data I've seen the TPS generates less pressure than the MM. But when I load hevi I use the TPS wad.

Unfortunately I don't have any TPS wads! I have some data for MM out the advantages 5 data book but that uses SR powder which I don't have either. It does show some TPS loads with Alliant Steel and I am thinking that I may sub the TPS for MM but realise this will raise the pressure slightly.
I was hoping that someone would have some data for Multimetal with Alliant Steel or Bluedot. Most of the powders I Have are european UEE powders

I don't think it will dangerously raise the pressure putting the MM in place of the TPS but if it concerns you drop the powder a grain to compensate for it.

Post up a load you are thinking of subbing the MM with if you could. I'd be surprised if you cant just sub it straight, a lot of hevi recipes are low pressured.
Why do I shoot 3.5" for geese? Because they don't make a 4" yet!
