Just a question for the experts
I have 870 SuperMag, with factory Imp Mod choke
What would some of you recommend for 2 3/4 or 3" steel for mallards, widgeon, some teal over decoys?
Shelf stock shot that is ; Brand and size
Ok, now for geese at fair range?

The factory loads that have worked best for me are....
Win Xpert 2 3/4" w/ 1 1/16oz #4s at 1550fps (strictly a duck load)
Kent 3" w/ 1 1/4oz #1s at 1425fps (exceptional combo load that works on ducks and geese)
Kent 3.5" w/ 1 3/8oz #2s at 1550fps ( I havent used this load alot but what I did worked well on big geese over decoys)
I have heard good things about patterning of the Rem 2 3/4" w/ 1 1/8oz of #2s at 1390fps. I have not used this load myself though. Of course, its easy to surpass the performance of all these loads with tested reloads as I have been able to do so.

Add Federal Speed Shok 3" 1 1/4 oz #2 shot to your list. It should be good out to about 50 yards with that choke.
Well, are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?
