Used MEC 9000GN ?

Postby Brimstone » Thu Feb 13, 2014 5:14 pm

What is a fair price to pay for a used 9000GN in good condition? I am looking to go progressive. The 600 jr. is just not cutting it anymore.

I load on one and have to revert to using it as a single stage 600 for steel. So if that is your objective..... My single stages loaders are actually easier to use as single stage loaders. Now for high volume lead.... No comparison. I can load hundreds an hour.

Price? In the low to mid 300s?

Thanks for the reply. I have a single stage already, but my son and I shoot a lot of trap so the single stage is getting to be too time consuming. I am keeping the single stage for small jobs.

Yep, I bought mine for trp loads too. For 16 yards, I was using 17 grains of clay dot and 7/8 of 8's. Far less punishing on the shoulder and no real difference in scores. Shot that load back for practice, then 1 ounce for registered, sometime.

Just make sure to understand the sequencing because she will make a quick mess if you don't. Position yourself to always watch the primer drop. They are a reliable loader. We use ours a lot. Have fun....mauser
