Pattern Master Choke

Does anyone have a "fix" for a Pattern Master Choke tube working its way loose after several shots? Other than retightening it every couple of shots.

Lots of super glue... lol jk. never had tht big of a problem with it doing that.
If it flies it dies, if it just sits there it dies too.

When it flies out see how far it goes and determine if it's really a midrange or long range choke.
All this for a bowl of borscht.

First, make sure it is appropriately threaded for your particular shotgun. For example, there are several versions of Beretta threads (pre-Optima) for mobilchoke as some had flat threads and others, bevelled threads.

Second, if you have the correct one, do a thorough cleaning of both the male & female threads followed by an application of copper anti-seize compound on them.

Third, if it continues to work loose, carefully examine the muzzle crown area of your barrel. If it isn't cut square with the bore, the PM tube base may be contacting it on the high side causing a peening effect that will vibrate/jar the tube loose with repeated firings.

Jeff Hajjar at Sure Cycle has re-cut (squared) several barrels over the past few years that had this issue.
