Hi Frank,

Welcome aboard. The subject of Hypersonics has pretty much been beat to death here. If you use the search feature and search this forum, you should get all the information you seek.

Frank
I feel slightly sorry for a man who has never patterned his gun, who has no idea how far his chosen load will retain killing penetration. But I'm extremely sorry for the ducks he shoots at beyond the killing range of his gun and load - Bob Brister

I don't believe you will find many who would select the HyperSonic 1-1/4 oz in #6 shot. 6s are viewed by most waterfowlers as too small of a shot size in steel shot. For ducks, sizes 2,3, or 4 would be more common.

I saw 2 box's of 3" 12ga 1 1/4oz 1700fps Hypersonic today. Looked like they had been around a long time. Probably be the last two box's on that walmart shelf after everything else is gone. I can not think of a more pointless load.

There is nothing to argue over, Remington DOES offer Hypersonic in #6 size, this is a FACT. You have a computer use it :fingerhead: , several outdoor outfitters carry this load.

let that set there for while longer, and there inventory is not going down and the pellets of hypersonic 6 shot looks to be the same after months at those prices and is still setting there the price will really drop...there would be plenty of shot cloud in those loads.

I actually shot a few boxes of HyperSonic #2's this season, and I was dominating ducks much higher up than normal. They are just loud and have a little extra recoil.

i repair guns i see alot of high dollar semi auto's get beat up bad, like they shot 5,000 rounds in one season, but only shot case of those remngtons. i have seen recever of 835 crack at seem of the loading port in one season from shooting those loads. the list goes on and on..within the first year if you shoot them and your semi auto has a action buffer you better be replacing it way before you normally shells with lower psi.
.i go through 1000 plus rounds steel shot reloads with winchester sx2 and the buffer is still good. i have not found that to be the case when people shoot less then case of the remington hypersonics!!!

the psi as tested i field review for 3" 1-1/4oz hypersonic load was average of 13,850psi
