Remington 10ga Hypersonic

Has anyone shot any of Remington's 10ga Hypersonic, which are 1500fps, in BBB or BB and what is your opinion of them? I am using a SP-10 with a Briley .745. Thanks for any/all replies. John

I have seen them but did not try them so no help I am afraid. I have some patterning to do in the spring and a friend wants to try them so I will know soon.

I shoot a reload that duplicates the Hypersonic speed and weight. It patterns good and kills well. Of course I'm only spending about $10.50 per 25 shells. Start saving your hulls.

If you compare the Federal 10ga 1.5 ounce load, it is published at 1450 fps. You would pay quite a premium for a 50 fps faster load with the Hypersonic. In 10 ga. I have been happy with the Winchester 1-5/8 oz loads at 1350 fps in BBB.

DO NOT SHOOT REMINGTON HYPERSONICS! We tried out 2 boxes in 12 ga 3" magnum and nearly ruined a B2000. Took it to one of the top shotgun gunsmiths in the western US and he told me never to shoot them again. The pressure is way too high on them and he had about 5 shotguns in that he was working on that had hypersonics run thru them and had issues. Said he hadn't seen a Browning B2000 in nearly 5 years and 3 people brought one in within the first month of duck season and all 3 of them had been shooting hypersonics. I had about 10 shells left and threw them away. I shot some through my 870 Wingmaster and it caused problems with it to. These shells are garbage and gun destoyers.

I really don't know but I think the 10 Ga loads are not the same as those crazy 12 loads. I agree that the 12's are nuts though. I actually had the 10 Hypers but got rid of them with my SP-10 as I thought I had had enough. Well ended up getting a Gold 10 because it fit better and I really missed my 10. Happy ta have it back, but I bet I had 8 Federal shells separate last week while passing snows. I thought that vein my forehead was gonna blow, but got really good at getting em out fast. Those Federals did the same to me and my friend in the SP-10s so yeah, I want to try something different as well. I have heard that 10 Nitro Mags don't cycle through the Brownings but is there any difference with the Hypers

Jwg, while hunting snows a few weeks back my buddy had the same issue. I told him call federal and tell them. He finally spoke to the right person there.

They asked him to send the rest of the case back to them. They setup the pick up from his house and in return for his troubles sent him 2 1/2 cases of 10 gauge black cloud in the same shot size. The last week we hunted he never had any separation issues. The tech at federal contacted him after they received and tested some rounds out of his case and saw no problems.

I ran through almost a case of the same hulls and never had an issue.
