3,5" BIG bore wads

Postby culot » Mon Mar 10, 2014 6:26 am

Back i times i had a Mossberg 835 12/89 but i only use it for lead, but today when i see they still are popular...
i wonder what happens with the wad when they expand to 10g bore, isn't a risk there are a gap betwine petals in wad.
at least a thinner spot right in the " slice " ?

That is true Peter, I always use a Mylar wrap in these overbore barrels and always use it with TSS no matter what gauge.

I had no problemes with the 3 1/2" MM shotchup which gave me the best patterns of all the 3 1/2" shotcups in my 935.. Ned S

No,or if there is it affects nothing.Ive owned a 935 and two 835s and used steel shot from no4 to TT through the factory full without any issues to barrel/choke and in one 835 alone ill have put up to 2k of BBB-TT through it ,from sam1s to tps wads. The barrel is perfect to this day i believe- the same guy i sold it to still owns it.
The M.berg factory chokes are the best ive seen on any gun.
