I wasn't suggesting modeling, 'nor calculating the drag and behavior on each pellet at any given point in time and space.
I was suggesting that it be taken into account and not be dismissed, because the calculations would be prohibitive.
And, that spheres of different size and mass would be affected differently.
And that the same weight charge, having different number of pellets, would also figure into the mix.

One can think about these things and understand how their load works, without doing the math or citing Newton.

Math is good! Just please provide a simple conclusion and possible application.
And where the math is not humanly possible, give us concepts that might be generalized.
And modifiers to the concepts.

That's pretty simple you just multiply by zero and then add your answer"........

As far as accuracy you just fire the shot and assign the centre of pattern afterwards.....

Got a beautifully tight pattern of 411gr- 15/16oz #4s from my 870, 28"bbl; Wad Wiz SWAT tube @30yds... no teal, 'nor robin could fly through. The #5s I loaded, didn't pattern well.... BUT,, that's my load and my gun and my tubes...

Patterning different loads and tubes has really helped me understand the need to do this.

Good luck!!

Ours is August to March but only sling shots are allowed and red riders are allowed.

Pigeons for sure, Red Ryders and sling shots are prerequisites. No published seasons so we figured it must be open season all year round...........
