Postby PinTeal » Thu Nov 11, 2004 11:28 pm

Gonna put them on the check in the rice field....Much like the birds on the refuge (standing on the checks)

anyone have any or know of any cheap that a poor college student could afford?

Thanks!

Eberhart Dercoys has a good full body...either pins or mallards....plastic and use a piece of conduit stake for legs....I got mine unpainted and painted some as mallards, some as blacks and a wigeon....I believe the price for a dozen painted is $99 plus shipping. There is a web-site to buy direct from Scott.

The other full bodies I know of are alot more expensive...I think the Flambeau Enticers are $55 for four (plus shipping)....and I personally like the concept of the foot base, but do not like the shape of the head/neck.

I saw Wade Bourne make a great tip on DU a couple weeks ago....he nailed a few Enticers to a log along the bank....what a super idea and very 'correct'....I'm sure you have all seen mallards preening and loafing on logs!
