Decoy repaint help

Postby swampboy91 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 7:26 pm

I am getting ready to repaint some old decoys as bluebills and redheads. These decoys will be in a cluster on a net rig so they will have net plus other decoys rubbing on them. I need paint that will hold up. So far I am planning on the following:
Bluebill: black on head and tailend. white in the middle. black brushed light over the back for splattered look. What color should I use for the bill?
Redhead: same as above except for rust for the head.

Can anyone add any suggestions such as other colors, brands, etc. The base coat will be spray on bed liner. Thanks in advance.
