New foamer full body

Postby little brit » Sun Jul 07, 2013 12:14 pm

New sneak peak at my motion decoy project. Foam/burlap fully body. Trying to make it like the Assault Mallard and doesn't look that bad so far. Any ideas if I could seal it with some sort or plastic coating. I was thinking like that bed liner spray then paint over that.

I am in the process of restoring some beat up foamers. I would not spray bedliner directly onto foam, I personally have never done it but I would assume it would eat up the foam plus adhesion issues. I put down 2 coats of 100% acrylic latex WATER based primer (kilz2). It takes about a week to cure, mine is still slightly tacky after about 4 days. So in about 3 days I will scuff and wipe down then hit it with duplicolor spray bedliner. I went with this one due to the countless reviews I read plus it says it is paintable right on the can.
