Glue for foam decoys

Postby Woodie26 » Thu Aug 01, 2013 8:53 pm

Hey guys I know others have probably asked but what kind of adhesive or glue should I use for stacking the foam to the size I need? Would wood glue work?

5 minute epoxy, just a quarter sized spot in the center of the foam block so you won't run into it when you carve.

I always use Gorilla Glue.
I scratch up both sides with course sandpaper, spritz one side with a little mist of water (polyurethane glue reacts with water) and apply the glue to the other side. Clamp it and wait a couple of hours. The glue will expand and ooze out all around, but provides a thorough bond and is not an issue when carving.

I use gorilla glue as well but have wanted to try the five minute epoxy too. There's plenty of wait time throughout the process already. It would be nice to take out a couple hours from the start.
