old foam herters

I got to diff body sizes here and I know they made a 72 and 63. is that what I have here??

they mallard on right I bought a couple from a deceased neighbor and the one on the left have 3 doz like with out heads.

Those look like 72 size Herters.

The decoy on the left (painted one) is a model 81. It was their super mag model and they used the 81 goose decoy body with a 72 duck head. Herters duck decoy models, 63= life size, 72= magnum, 81= super mag.

Yes, they made different models of 72s but there is no size difference between puddler and millennium puddler.

How I wish that Herters decoys were still made. I'm lucky enough to have three dozen 72s of which the dozen Mallards are my Father's Herters that he bought in 1974. And imo there was no better diver decoy made unsinkable and rode waves like a dream.

Let me know if you're looking for some burlapped Scaup. They've never hit the water... I need to thin the flock.

The big decoy (model 81) body is painted as a goose I put the mallard head on there for reference

thanks guys for the answers and pictures. there was a guy on here that had 6 buffies that still in package for sale wish I woulda bought them.

and like I said we got 3 doz unpainted that have never seen water. and my 4 81s God only knows when the last time they seen water. but I think they will see this fall only under my gun don't want any gun happy buddy shootin my heads.
