IDEAS: How to make a normal mojo decoy splash

Postby johntmeyer » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:38 am

I have about 5 Motorized Mojo Duck Decoys i was thinking of ways you could use the motion from the wings to kick up water, trying to save money by not going have to buy more motion decoys. Anyone try it or have ideas? thanks

My experience with quiver magnets is lots and lots of batteries are required. Ours always went dead in 2-3 hours.

You could try putting zip ties where the wing connects to the body and angle it so the zip ties are slapping the water when the wings spin.

Use a small rivit thru the wing connected to a plastic strip that slaps the water each rotation. Same concept of wonder duck. try to use light material that tuff to much weight throws off rotation

Stick a couple bamboo shishkabob skewers through the corrugations of the wings so that they hit the water.

Throw it in the water. That's your best bet.

What you can do if your hunting a flooded field or shallow flooded timber is not use the whole stake. Just use it to match water level then cock it to the side so the wing is splashing water. Looks pretty good.
