Jerk string question

Postby BonzaiDuck227 » Sat Sep 28, 2013 6:03 pm

I've always used a bungee cord between line and anchor on my jerk string rigs but have to end up replacing them every season because of them wearing out. Lately I've been considering using surgical tubing instead of a bungee, anyone have any experience using this? How's it hold up in the water and elements?

It splits and tears in the cold. Just buy a section of military shock cord on eBay.50 ft roll for $6 and you have enough for 6 seasons. Plus it attaches to nylon jerk cord easier than tube.
