Decoy for jerk string

Postby RBandSASHA » Wed Oct 02, 2013 1:40 pm

Wondering if you guys have a preference as to using a weighted keel vs aqua keel. I am trying to keep the weight down for carrying in with everything else but want to use whichever move the most water.

They should both move the same amount of water.
Water keel or weighted.
However, if the cord is not directly connected to the keel
your loosing a lot of action. So if you've got a clip or something connecting the
decoys to the main line, it's not as good.
I wrap a Clove hitch style knot around the keels . That makes every light tug ripple .
Shoulda tried em that last swing...

Weighted. in rough water or high wind the water keel can tip or flip. I like the surface feeders for the jerk string. A lot of realism!
