I'm looking for some help on paint selection or guide for painting Hen Buffs.
Thanks.

^X2 I have GHG Buffies now that are all drakes obviously I am sure you've all seen them and wanted to know if anyone has painted them to hens. I am going to paint them this week.

Most diver hens are basically brown with a few small patches of white. Not too difficult to match up, and no real need for great detail. Still, some sort of a guideline is nice. Here's a site that has some pretty good photos. You can poke around on it a bit and find other birds, too.

I feel slightly sorry for a man who has never patterned his gun, who has no idea how far his chosen load will retain killing penetration. But I'm extremely sorry for the ducks he shoots at beyond the killing range of his gun and load - Bob Brister

Drake to hen a buddy did. Personally I think the white patch is not placed true, but you get the color idea.
