Can someone help me ID this decoy

Postby shadowwalker » Sun Nov 03, 2013 10:13 am

My great uncle recently passed, and my grandpa grabbed this decoy before they had the estate sale and gave it to me. It is obviously a pintail, but I can't find anything about the carver. It is signed C Quast. It looks really close to a Lac La Croix Ducks Unlimited Pintail, only it is not numbered, and does not have the DU medallion embedded in it.

I'm not selling it, however it would be nice to know what I can about it.

Thanks.

it appears to have been made by someone with the name of C. Quast. it probably has good value since it is signed but its not a decoy from DU, no stamp or numbers

I understand that it isn't a DU decoy. I was hoping that since I had found a DU decoy with the same signature, there might be info out the on the carver. Thanks

I did. Like I said, I found another pintail with the same name on it.
