First Time Flocking

Postby Stish85 » Fri Feb 21, 2014 4:08 pm

I am gearing up to attempt flocking my first 6 to 12 decoys next week. They are bluebills. I was going to repaint them but figured I would give flocking a try.

Any tips and tricks that you "old" pros have learned that will help me out?

A few things I have gathered from reading around on here:

-take great care to thoroughly clean the decoys
-remove all loose flaky paint
-scuff the surface to improve adhesion
-patience,patience, patience

One question. Is it best to start with darker colors first or is not that important unless they will be layered/blended?
