I keep mine unplugged from the decoy and in a cool place. Heat will drain a battery just as fast as extreme cold. I wouldn't imagine a quick, 10 minute charge, wouldn't hurt them. But, then you come into the area of wearing the battery out by charging it many times. Batteries do have a useage life and do get a charge "memory". I keep my batteries in a fridge when not in use. That was the prescribed/directed method of our batteries when I was in the military. That was regular batteries and lithium's for the NVG's as well.
