Not sure where over here is, but in most of Alabama, it's mostly woodies. For the lower Mobile Delta it's a mixed bag of mostly gadwalls, spoonbills and scaup at the beginning of the season, with ringnecks, buffleheads and some others later in the season. In large lakes you will have divers. Some areas along the coast you will see nothing but redheads. Of course you will have a small chance at popular ducks like mallards and pintails occasionally, but those occasions are rare for most of the state.

In north Alabama we have a mix of divers and puddle ducks. Hunt Lake Guntersville and you'll see Gadwalls, Bluebill, Ringneck, Mallards, Canvasback and Redheads. Closer to Decatur, around Swan Creek, you'll see Mallards, a few Pintails, Ringneck, Bluebill, Redheads, Gadwalls, Teal, Bufflehead, Woodies, coots.
