Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that there is another person that will be on the Alabama Boards. From the looks of the number of post here, we could use another. :salude:

I agree! So few posts in such a neat forum area. I am new also here. I just thought I'd throw out a hello from Cullman, Alabama. I am new to waterfowl hunting and I have this obsession with teal for some reason. I gotta get out there. There is so much to learn and so few people seem willing to give advice these days. I want to focus on teal, they just really get me excited about hunting again.

 Whoooohoo!

I have been on 4 duck hunting forums and made posts and replies... you are the first to ever respond. I feel blessed at this moment! I assume the LA means Louisiana? But, location says Iraq? Know anything about hunting teal?

Yes LA mean Louisana as I'm orginally from LA i'm in the military so my location at the moment is Iraq which i'm fighting in so you can enjoy more teal hunting. I do know a little about teal, what sort of info are you needing, Got calls, deks, set-up, shot?

Thanks for your service to this country! I admire you for it.

I guess my biggest questions are about decoys and set-ups. Should I get both Blue-winged and Green-winged decoys? I just ordered 2 calls, so I got that one covered. I have clothing, shells, and gun covered also. I am not relly sure about hunting set-ups... I have read a few things, but all the info I can gather will help.

Well decoy set up can be hit and miss, there not machines so there not going to react the same every day. I would say get a few of both, its not going to hurt, but wind and sun is kinda the main things to look at, at first just go with a basic setup like a U shape with the wind at you back but be ready to change this around. Over all sounds like your ready to go. Heres a couple of sites to get you reading, enjoy.
