why dont they move that youth season to before the regular season starts? the state would get a whole lot more participation if it was.lets see.... more predictable weather.....kids dont really care what kind of birds they shoot....the bird arent educated yet....no lets take em out in feb. when everything things thats not dead is scared to death.ADC please use common sense on such matters,as hard as it may be . those kids will be paying your salery when us old folk are dead and gone!give the kids first chance to pop some teal and bootlips.

First of all :welcome: to DHC

If you would like to see a change to the seasons, try contacting Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Wildlife Division. There is a sticky on the Alabama Forum with a link to their website, but you should email keith.guyse@dcnr.alabama.gov and let him know what you would like to see changed. They do read our emails and if enough people have the same feelings as you, they might change the season.

iam probally going back to one of the advisory board meetings in the next few months.you usually have only one or two people to comment on waterfowl or dove hunting, the rest of the whole public comment period is dog deer hunters vs. stalk hunters (vis versa).its like the jerry springer redneck special live.anyway ive mentioned it to a couple of gw's and a biologist and they didnt seem to have any problem with it.i just think the kids would benefit more from an earlier hunt.

:help: David where did you find the duck and gooes limits for 2006-2007?
I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have.

If you go to the DCNR site and look at the seasons, HERE and scroll down to the Duck it will say See Rule 220-2-.77, if you click it, it will give you the seasons you are looking for.

I added to the very top of the first post the 2006-07 Waterfowl guide in PDF (acrobat reader) format. It is handy to print out and has most all the info you need for waterfowl hunting in Alabama.
