Eufaula

Hunted the refuge 3 years in a row (got a buddy that was VERY lucky). Didn't get drawn last season. :crying:
He and I have picked up a 14' boat to try to take up there a few times this season.

Anyone else doing that?
Any pointers?

We are actually down near Dothan.

Thanks for the reply.
Isn't Seminole hunting license funny? Do you use your AL license, or have all 3?

My buddy has been to Eufuala a couple times with someone else from here. We've been to the refuge (as stated). He's been more than I have.

I'm still "new" to this, so I'm learning...

Nope I have a AL license, then have to get GA small game licesne out of state, with state stamp. Think it runs right under 100 for the GA.

How does the refuge blind drawings work?

Georgia is about the most expensive state to hunt In from out of state.

I'm from Dothan as well and looking to get into duck hunting for the first time. I applied for the refuge hunt in Eufaula this year. Any good places around Dothan to hunt? I also thought of Eufaula, but I'm new to all of this and don't really know what to look for.

because its a georgia power dam you can't actually hunt the main lake, screwy regs but it is what it is. you can run up the hooch a ways and maybe get lucky but if you put your time in on seminole you'll have success. there is a ton of pressure but the only way i know to kill ducks on public lands is to go where no one else where go.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't get drawn for the refuge hunt so I guess I'll have to try Seminole.
